Its business operations are structured into two main segments: Cooling Products for Comfort and Commercial Use, and Design and Development Services. Founded in 1984, the company has undergone several significant name changes. Initially known as Hitachi Home & Life Solutions (India) Limited, it rebranded as Johnson Controls-Hitachi Air Conditioning India Limited in September 2016. In November 2025, the company is set to adopt its current name, Bosch Home Comfort India Limited. It currently operates as a subsidiary of JCHAC India Holdco Limited.
