Incidentally, the two tata trusts (SRTT and SDTT) had backed giving Chandra another 5-year term, but Noel Tata was averse to the decision. One option is that directors may ask Chandra if he was willing to reconsider his decision.
Hindustan Copper OFS: Government to Divest 3% Stake at ₹514 Floor Price
The government will divest a 3% stake in Hindustan Copper Ltd (HCL), with a greenshoe option to sell another 3% if there is adequate demand. The floor price for the OFS has been set at ₹514 per share, with 10% of the shares set aside for employees of HCL. Copper is in great demand due to a global shortage, and HCL has been a market outperformer. In Q1FY27, Hindustan Copper reported lower profits on a yoy basis. The government has collected ₹52,716 in FY27 via disinvestments, which is 66% of budget disinvestment target. This figure was dominated by the LIC OFS.

This 4 GW capacity that they are adding, will be in addition to their existing 3 GW of capacity, and they are targeting around 17 GW by 2030.
